A Guide to Vung Ha Beach

A Guide to Vung Ha Beach

Location

Vung Ha (Vụng Hà) beach is located on one of the bigger islands in Halong Bay. It is located between Crescent Island and the Vung Vieng fishing village. It’s in one of the main locations of Halong Bay and lies about 18 miles (30 kilometers) east of Halong City. Today Vung Ha Beach functions as a stopover for many of the cruise ships visiting the Vung Vieng fishing village.

The beach is nice and clean and is perfect for visitors to enjoy some water based activities like swimming, kayaking and snorkeling. Due to its close proximity to the fishing village, just sitting on the beach and observing the daily life of the locals is also a pleasurable activity.

The beach is crescent shaped and flanked by beautiful characteristic Halong Bay limestone karst with lush green vegetation. As the island predominantly has no permanent residents, basic necessities are lacking on the island.
