@Robin, Most shuttle buses to Halong Bay depart at 9:00 AM, so it may be difficult to make it in time for the 10:00 AM departure. However, if you can arrange a private transfer to the port before 12:00 PM, it may be possible. For cruise recomendation, Capella Cruise is a great option with a good itinerary and many activities, and they serve delicious food too.

@Arthur, while La Siesta is the best option for a ship in Halong Bay, they are not operating until late 2023. If you are traveling in June, Stellar of the Seas is a great alternative. Their modern boat and exceptional service make them one of the top choices for cruising in Halong Bay and Lan Ha Bay.

@Qiane We highly recommend considering the V'Spirit Premier Cruise for your trip. Their 3-day, 2-night itinerary includes a visit to Cat Ba Island (Viet Hai Vilage) and offers a variety of activities, including Tai Chi, cycling, kayaking, and cooking classes. The cruise has a maximum of 30 passengers, with 14 cabins, ensuring that it is not too large. V'Spirit also caters vegetarian and pescatarian options for meals. In contrast, while the Oasis Party cruise offers music and activities, it tends to attract a younger party crowd and may not be the best choice for a 14-year-old girl.

@Cathy Most cruises will offer buffet for lunch and set menu for dinner. If you prefer cruises with great food, we recommend Ambassador cruise for Halong bay (launched 2018) and Heritage Cruise Binh Chuan for Lan Ha Bay (launched 2019), they serve great FINE dining dishes for dinner! If you are not travelling until mid-2023, then La Siesta would be the first 6-star cruise in Halong bay with modern facilities and great proven service (they operate the well-known hotel chain in Vietnam).

Hello, I am looking to book a Ha Long Bay cruise from 20-December to 21-December for 3 people (2 adults and 1 child). The child is 4-years old and does not need a separate bed.  We would like an ultra-luxury boat that does not have a lot of cabins. We prefer a smaller book with few cabins / less people.  We would like excellent food (no buffets) and excellent service.  We would like a very large suite or 2 adjoining rooms.  We will need to travel from Hanoi and are then flying to Hoi An after we disembark. We will need transfers from our hotel in Hanoi to the boat on 20-December and a transfer from the boat to whichever airport is closest in 21-December.  I am a vegetarian so it is important that the chef can make options for me.  Also, December 20 is my birthday so we want this to be very special.  If there is a boat that has a babysitting service (so my husband and I can eat dinner and enjoy the evening), that would be great.  Thank you!!!
