May I know if there are any direct buses from Hanoi to Quan Lan? if yes, how much it is ? and if there is no direct bus to the island, what are the best options to get to Quan Lan from Hanoi?

There is no direct bus to Quan Lan island,  you can find below for the two most popular routes to get from Hanoi to Quan Lan island:

OPTION 1: Hanoi- Halong bay - Quan Lan

A. Catch a bus from Hanoi to Halong (Hon Gai harbor). The distance is 160 km and it takes 2-2.5 hours by public bus. Average price is 280,000 VND/pp.

Bus Information:

• Luxury Transport (Kia Sedona, 7-seater): Xeluxury.vn - Tel: (024) 3926 4085. Mobile: 0901 291 290
• Depart:  Tonkin Cafe, 18 Au Trieu, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi at 8:30 AM to Hon Gai Pier, 6A Le Thanh Tong at 10:30 AM.

B. Hon Gai harbor to Quan Lan by speedboat (1-1.5 hours)

Speed Boat information:

• Havaco: 0203 6565758 – 0946 193 193
• Depart Hon Gai three times a day at: 6:45-10:00-14:30

OPTION 2: Hanoi - Van Don - Quan Lan (Most popular)

A) Take bus from Hanoi to Van Don (Cai Rong pier). The distance is 230 km, and travel time is 5 hours.

Bus information:

• Kumho Viet Thanh (45-seater bus): 19006779
• Depart My Dinh Station at 9:00 AM and arrive Cam Pha at 14:00 PM. From Cam Pha, you can catch a taxi to Cai Rong pier.

Speedboat information:

• Hoang Vi: 0975 877 889 - 0913 072 072
• Depart Cai Rong Pier at : 9:30 and 15:00 Or 7:30-9:30-11:30-13:00-15:00 (Fri, Sat, Sun)
